Tina is our Practice Manager at Canberra Prosthodontics, and she has been involved in the dental industry for over twenty years and enjoys all aspects of the dental auxiliary roles within the practice. She started dental assisting after leaving high school and completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and then went on to complete her Diploma in Practice Management at a later stage. Tina mostly spends her time in the practice managing, training and developing our clinical auxiliary staff as well as updating our dental processes and policies. She is usually running around keeping everyone in check, but is never too busy to field a call or have a chat with a patient.
After hours she enjoys spending time with her young family and enjoys the company of her friends and family anywhere outdoors.
Lauren is one of our friendly dental assistants. Lauren joined Canberra Prosthodontics in April 2016 after moving from the small town of Grenfell in Central West NSW. Lauren joined us with no dental experience but has come a long way being trained the ‘Canberra Pros way’!
She is currently studying Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting and wants to pursue further studies after completing this course. In her spare time Lauren enjoys spending time with her friends and family camping, and spending time outdoors. Lauren also enjoys going to country music festivals and concerts.
Helen can be found working in the reception area and will be first to greet you with her friendly hello.
Helen came to Australia in 2003 with her husband and three children, moving to the Yass area. Having a background in hospital cleaning and sterilisation of theatre equipment, Helen then was offered a position as a dental nurse with a private general dentist in Canberra. She worked 6 years in the clinical areas then moved into reception for the remaining 2 and a half years. Helen holds a dental assisting Certificate III.
Helen loves her two grandchildren who live in Canberra, and also has two dogs and horses.
Tash came to Canberra Prosthodontics from the beauty industry after working as a hair and makeup artist for over five years. Deciding it was time for a career change and new challenge, Tash found dental assisting which she is thoroughly enjoying. She is always ready with a friendly smile to put our patients at ease.
She moved to Canberra from a small coastal town in New Zealand when she was 16 so she loves to go to the coast at any given opportunity with her husband and animals.
Trina has been dental assisting for over 20 years, both in general and specialist practices. In this time she has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and Dental Assisting Radiography. Since moving back to Canberra after being away from the area for the past 18 years, Trina is enjoying venturing into the new area of prosthodontics, expanding her knowledge and gaining more experience in a specialist setting.
Outside of work Trina is enjoying re-exploring the Canberra region and introducing her husband to the area, along with spending time with family and friends.
Jo is our in-house lab technician. Jo hails from Korea where he trained and worked as a Dental Technician, prior to moving to Australia with his wife.
Jo has worked in a number of laboratories and dental practices over the years, gaining valuable experience and skills which allow him to contribute to Canberra Prosthodontics’ provision of excellent patient care by fabricating various components in our in-house laboratory for use in the clinic.
Jo loves to indulge in the occasional Korean Fried Chicken binge, as well as go camping in the Australian bush with his extended family.
Linda is one of our friendly front desk staff and has a passion for helping people. While she holds a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, she also has a strong background in customer service.
In her spare time Linda enjoys exploring Canberra with her young daughter and going to the gym.
Linda has enjoyed working in the dental industry for many years. Looking after our patients’ needs and delivering friendly customer care is the most rewarding part of Linda’s work.
In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her family and walking her cavoodle dog on nearby walking paths.
